I have a few ghost stories that have happened to me over the years, and some that have
happened to other people in my family. The first one happened to my aunt. My great
grandmother died when I was around about four or five years old (I am 16 now). This was my
aunt's grandmother. My aunt was very close to her. About a day or two after she died, my
aunt had fallen asleep on the couch downstairs. There were no lights on; not even the TV.
She was the only one downstairs at the time. Well during the night, she felt like someone
had kissed her cheek. When she opened her eyes, she saw my great grandmother
standing in front of her...smiling at her. She said that she just stood there for maybe a
minute, and then slowly faded away and disappeared. She said that it didn't really scare her
though; but it just surprised her.
My next story happened to me. I was at my mom's house spending the week there for spring
break. I've always had a feeling that someone is there watching me at her house. Her
house has always felt like that. My step dad said he's felt it too, and feels like someone
haunts the house. Well one night, I was asleep in my bedroom; and there were no lights on
except for the light from the living room shining in to my bedroom. Well I opened my eyes
during my sleep; you know how you do that sometimes? Well when I opened my eyes, there
was this grayish, shadowy figure of a little boy. I couldn't really see his face, but I could make
out his shape...and he had black hair. At first I thought i was dreaming; then I realized that it
was right in front of me. He just stood there for a like maybe a minute or two -- then slowly
faded away. I have no idea if what I was seeing was real, or just a dream; but it was very
vivid.
My step dad and brother told me of an event that happened to them about a year or two ago.
My mom was asleep in one of the back bedrooms, and they were sitting there watching TV
in the living room. All of a sudden, my brother looks up and so does my step dad. My
brother says, "Do you see what I see?" My step dad said, "Yeah." They said they saw the
figure of this little girl with long brown hair (in like a white nightgown), walking towards my
brother's room; and they couldn't really see her face, though. She disappeared about half
way towards going to his room.
The next incident happened to me while I was at my mom's, again. This time I wasn't
asleep. I woke up during the night and had to go to the bathroom. I was walking through the
living room and the light from the kitchen was shining into the living room. I looked over at
the couch and I saw that my brother was asleep; and I didn't want to wake him up. Well when
i lifted my head back up, this shadowy figure of a person (it was all black) floated by, very
fast in front of me -- and disappeared into the wall. I ran to the bathroom, and didn't come
out for about 20 minutes. It scared me very much. My step dad thinks that my
grandmother's ex-husband haunts her house and my mother's house. He had a heart attack
and died out in the woods when he was dear hunting. Both of their houses are in the woods,
and that is what he thinks is causing all the ghostly activity.
