Angels or Imaginary Friends
A young girl sees angels but her parents told her they were only imaginary friends. Do we discount such experiences our children have?by Jennifer of Queens, NYCI am currently 14 years old (2009), and I have been told by many psychologists that I am an “indigo child.”Up into now I still see angels, sometimes, but not as frequently as I did. Many people believe that all children have this ability to see angels, but many forget these angel encounters or choose to close that connection. I have been seeing angels, I believe, since I was six. I do not have pictures. I will not take pictures; all I have are memories and experiences. If you choose not to believe them then, it is fine with me.
I used to see three angels: this boy with a white glowing robe, with a green bag tied to his waist. He carried a sword strapped to his waist and wore a crown with leaves. I believe he is a healer. I also remember a girl with an apple in her hand, glowing, also like her brother. And last, but not least, a baby with light brown curly hair, also glowing like the other two. My parents used to tell me that they weren’t real, that they were imaginary friends like every other 4 year olds have; but when I turned 7, they realized that the time for imaginary friends was long past. I barely recall what the angels used to say to me or the reason why they were there. I never asked. The oldest boy angel told me that they were my guardian angels, and they would always be there and would appear in my biggest moment of need. I know that even though the boy was the oldest, the girl would be running errands for other angels. I know this might sound stupid, but for God, too. The angels were always there for me as they protected me and talked to me. If I asked questions they would respond.
I remember one night I had asked them if my grandma was going to be alright, because she had been with a cold for two weeks, and she wasn’t getting better. Then I asked them what heaven was like. They told me my grandma would live many more years and that they would ask God to take her when it was absolutely necessary. I recall they tried to describe it the best way possible, and when I told them I still did not understand, they said they could show me (but I declined). They guided me, and they scolded me when I did something bad. I truly love them. One day, they told me I couldn’t be with them that much anymore, and they would have to reduce their visits to a minimum and that I could not see them that much — maybe twice a year. I cried a lot.I cried for two whole days straight; but at the time, I thought I had done something wrong, and they were being punished because of me. Until Most recently, I realized that as angels they have other duties to perform, other people to take care of, being the highest position of angels. I have a gift of not only being able to see angels but to be able to see things that will happen. When I was in first grade, I drew a picture of two burning buildings. Three days later, 9/11 happened. My grandpa had been diagnosed with cancer and, one night, I dreamt exactly how he was going to die. The next day, my father told me my grandpa had passed away at night. I believe the angels left me this gift because I was meant to help other people.
Short Angel Stories: Short Angel Story Testimonies
Short angel stories submitted by visitors… We Were Not Supposed To Be Here Today by Mr. & Mrs. Shawn Burgamy of Louisiana My husband had a few days off from work and we decided to go to a bed and breakfast two and a half hours from our little Louisiana town. It was nice to know we would enjoy ourselves with peace and tranquility.  My husband and I were driving along the major Interstate, when all of a sudden from a side road, a truck going 80 miles per hour or more was barreling right at us.  My husband swerved the car and accelerated the pedal. We were missed by a fraction of an inch. It happened so fast, our guardian angel had to be with us. Otherwise, we would be dead.  We are thankful for being here today. Very, thankful. Nana’s Angelby Mrs. M. Several years ago, my grandmother died after losing a battle with cancer. A few months after her death, I was changing my daughter’s diaper on her bedroom floor.  She excitedly said to me, “Look mom.  There’s G.G.”   I was a little nervous and asked,  “Where’s G.G”?  She said, “There, in the Bambi picture.” (She had a picture of Bambi on her wall.)   I commented,  ” I see Bambi.”  She was very excited and said, “Yes.  And, there’s G.G.  Wave to her, mommy.  Lay on the floor and wave to G.G.”   I didn’t see G.G.,  but I do think she was really with us.Â
Angels & Afterlife Experience
Diana Rivera-Ponce shares her angel experience… I saw a male angel.  He was very handsome with light brown curly hair, blue eyes and was very tall and slightly muscular. He has his arms crossed in front of him, wearing a white with gold robe. He didn’t have angel wings he did however have a white light around him.  This white light brought forth a feeling of peace and compassion. He was looking at me with a very concern look as a sat there in unbearable pain. I started to pray again thanking God for listening to me and sending his angel to help me. I opened my eyes and my angel had disappeared.  A few more hours passed and I was not getting  better.  I woke up my husband and I was rushed to the hospital. After being there for several hours, I was told I needed emergency surgery to remove my appendix. I was told my appendix was now infused with my ovaries and if I didn’t get surgery right away I was not going to make it. I was so scared because this was my first surgery not knowing what to expect. When I was being put to sleep I saw a bright white light and a peaceful voice telling me to go into the light and not to be afraid. I felt myself go and it all happened so fast and before I knew it I was on the other side. I feel an immediate sense of peace and feeling welcomed. I was now standing in  the most beautiful place I ever been to, a garden filled with numerous flowers and children playing all over.  I saw Jesus get up from the ground, smiling at me as he was playing with children. His smile was very inviting and filled with lots of love. I noticed he was pointing to my right side, so I looked and I saw my most beloved brother standing there smiling at me. I immediately was so happy to see him again that I ran to him and jumped at him as I hugged him. I hugged him not wanting to let go. My brother had passed away in October 1999 just a few days after my first born daughter was born, his death was very unexpected. He was my only brother and I had wished that I could see him one more time. Here I was finally having the opportunity to see him again.  He looked his best and was extremely happy.  My brother told me he wanted me to stop crying over him, because he was fine.  He showed me around so I could be assured.  I don’t remember much of what I saw, however I do remember seeing more angels and children. This place was not like anywhere here on earth.  I just don’t have the right words to describe it – it was just amazing!  I know I didn’t want to leave.  However, I was told it was not my time and that the only reason I had an opportunity to have the experience to see the other side was because I was grieving my brother’s death to the point that I was not the same.  Since this experience, I have not cried over my brother as much as I used to.  I do miss him terribly, but I know he is doing very well, in good hands and accepted with abundant love.  I take this experience with me on a daily basis and  tell others about it.  I want people to know that there is life after death, definitely a heaven, God and Jesus that look over and love each and every one of us and angels that are real.  We are simply never alone.Â
Scary Angel Story
Well, I will try to explain this best I can. I have not told a soul about it, but my wife and mother. It happened when I was around fourteen years of age, in Kentucky, around 1990.
It was summer time. Around ten in the evening, I went upstairs to go to bed. The room had two big windows, and a real bright street lamp right outside. So I pulled the vinyl blinds down, and then drew the draw-string to close the cloth curtains. It was so dark, I stubbed my toe getting in bed. I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face.
I eventually fell asleep, but have no idea how long it took. I awakened for some reason, and quickly realized the entire room was lit up. I raised my head up, and lo and behold, at the bottom edge of my right side of the bed I saw a person standing there. He was glowing. Yes, glowing a yellowish gold. I have never been religious, so what I saw confuses me to no end.
I wanted to scream, but couldn’t; as I was so freaked out. I looked down and saw the person had sandles on. They were glowing so brightly, it was hard to even tell how many toes he had. It was so bright, it almost blurred them together. And the robe was glowing very bright, starting maybe four inches above the ankle.
I was eye-balling him to no end, all the way to his head. I saw a face so bright, I could not tell whether his skin color was white or black. I had no idea what race he was. He had a thing on his head that looked to be a wire, or maybe thorns. Yeah, I know it sounds a little like Jesus, right?
All of the sudden, he reached his right arm up in slow motion, and pointed his index finger at me, and said my name. Then he said, “I am going to get you.” The voice echoed in my head like a megaphone does. I thought I was a goner. I said, “Not, today!” and jumped out of bed, waking up my mother and brother, downstairs.
The next morning I told them this exact same story I am telling all of you. They said that I was speaking jibberish that night. I said, “What are ya’ talking about?” They said I spoke flat jibberish, sort of mumbling.
So I have no idea if it was an angel, or not; but it scared me to death, because it said, “I am going to get you.”
