This three floor, massive building built in 1916 was established as the County Poor Farm, to help those who had little or nothing. Those families resided there until 1956 when it turned into a house for the mentally disabled. When it finally closed its doors for good in 1987, some restless spirits chose to stay behind, calling Ashmore their home.
