Latest Ghost Hunting Equipment Updates!

The following is the latest updates about some of the items we currently have available at the Fringe Technology Ghost Hunting Store.

Inexpensive Ghost Hunting Cameras See in the Dark!

Flip Screen IR-Converted Ghost Hunting Camera

The above model is our latest available Infrared conversion of a 10.1 megapixel digital camera for ghost investigation. What’s cool is that with IR lighting, you can actually use the “flip screen” to either shoot video or photos of what’s happening behind you! Ever have a ghost follow you? Now you can monitor and possibly capture images of it!

Why a Ghost Hunting Camera?

All of our ghost hunting cameras have an expanded range, being able to see into the Near Infrared and are considered to be “Full Spectrum.” By our definition, this means the eye of the camera has a potential range of 330nm (UV) up to 1200nm (IR). The visible spectrum of human eyesight ranges from about 380nm – 750nm. So you can see how these cameras can have a better chance of capturing paranormal phenomena when compared to typical stock cameras (which are filtered to see only the visible spectrum). In addition, the cameras can see in darkness when you cannot (if Infrared lighting is used: IR flashlight, IR illuminator, or an incandescent blacklight bulb). This means the annoying flash unit can be disengaged, virtually eliminating false anomalies such as dust orbs, flash reflection, etc. We have available camera conversions that fit in everyone’s price range from 5.1 to 10.1 megapixel models!

Are People Capturing Ghosts with the IR-Converted Cameras?

We’ll allow you to decide that for yourself. Below are three examples of different anomalies captured with our cameras: A shadow ghost, an apparition, and an energy anomaly.

Shadow figure in human form is captured in a theater booth by Dayna Hodgson of the UK with a 5.1 mp model that was converted to see in the dark.

An apparition of a human face is seen when lightened. Ghost captured by Dayna Hodgson of the UK with an UV-Vis-IR converted 5.1 mp camera.

Dale Lute of SIGHT of Ohio captured this energy on the steps inside of Mansfield Reformatory using our 8.1 mp UV-Vis-IR conversion model.

Ghost boxes range in price dependent upon availability and conversion time.

Ghost Box Radios

We try and keep a couple ghost box sweeping radios in stock for people who wish to experiment with ghost communication. The devices sweep either the AM or FM bands, producing white noise and radio snippets. The mish mash of noise helps bring the voices of ghosts and spirits through audibly or on a recorder. It is truly a way to increase the frequency of EVP capture!

At left is a hard-to-find original “Radio Shack Hack” model we currently have available.

October 2010 Angels & Ghosts News & Updates!

Happy October!

This is our busiest month of the year. Not only is Angels & Ghosts publishing pages of ghost and spirit stories, pictures, articles and videos, but I am out and about giving talks about ghosts and signing copies of my book, “Helping Ghosts: A Guide to Understanding Lost Spirits.” Additionally, we have worked hard to stock up our “fringe technology” store with unique, modified ghost investigation cameras and sweeping radios. I always look forward to “Halloween month” and the excitement it brings!

Halloween: What is it?

Recently while on a radio interview, I was asked to explain where the celebration of Halloween came from, the costumes, etc. I couldn’t do it, so I decided to look up the origins of All Hallows Eve.

Halloween is typically traced back to the Celtic celebration called “Samhain.” The word is derived from the Old Irish word samuin, meaning “summer’s end.” It was believed that the veil between the physical and spirit worlds becomes thin once a year on Samhain, allowing both harmful and harmless spirits to cross back and forth to our world. Family ancestors were honored and invited back but nefarious spirits were warded off. By disguising oneself as a bad spirit, it was believed that harmful spirits would leave the person alone. By the 16th century, a Scottish version of the festival was known as “All Hallows Eve” which was later shortened by removing the v-sound to just “Halloween.” All Hallows Eve fell on the night before All Hallows Day (October 31st) also known as All Saints Day – November 1st.

Ghost Hunting Cameras!

Posted by Administrator on October 6, 2010

People who want to ghost investigate are often wondering what camera is best to purchase. Ghost investigators typically have a camera that they have been using for awhile but may be interested in using something adapted for night time investigation.

Infrared converted ghost hunting cameras can often be expensive, but now there is a new alternative. The Fringe Tech Ghost Hunting Store is offering IR-converted compact digital cameras that are not filtered (making them able to see an expanded field) and very affordable. Check this article: ghost hunting cameras.

Louis Charles in Akron, Ohio Halloween Party

Posted by Administrator on October 5, 2010

The Debord Halloween Party is something to behold. A small backyard get-together has turned into a massive event over the years with between 1000-2000 visitors and over 150 special guests expected in 2010. This is definitely a unique October event that takes place this Saturday afternoon, October 9th from 2:00pm until 10:00pm.

I plan on setting up a table to talk about ghosts, sign copies of my “Helping Ghosts” books, and sell some of my converted Infrared cameras to those who come and see me. The Debord Halloween Party is located at 690 W. Waterloo Road in Akron, Ohio on the VFW grounds. You can expect food, entertainment, vendors and more, so come bring a friend to the party!
