Apparition Photo from a Haunting

The real photo of an apparition was taken inside the kitchen of a home undergoing haunting.

"I forgot I had cropped the original slightly but luckily my phone had an option to revert it. Here is the original. I assure you I did nothing to this. It was much creepier in person. There is a light on in my kitchen. The dining room light (with the fan) is not on. That light flickers all the time so we don't even turn it on anymore. As for the cat, he was interested in the figure all night. He even placed himself between me and the kitchen for the rest of the night. I'm not sure what he's looking at in this picture. I'm happy to answer any questions, so please feel free to ask. I want whatever info you can give me. It freaked me out, and I am not exactly a follower of paranormal stuff."

"I waited until the right time tonight (6/9/15) and took a couple of pictures so you could analyze the lighting. Anything you could tell us would be helpful. This has me freaked out. I'm usually pretty logical (I'm a self-proclaimed nerd and a high school math teacher), but weird things have been happening since that first night. It's making me believe in spirits. My 9 year old got super sick the first night. We're hearing things when we're in bed, but we check on the kids and they're sleeping. The cat is acting spooked. I don't know. I'm hoping my imagination is just getting the best of me, and the other things are coincidences." - Amanda T.

Our Thoughts

After receiving the incredible picture from Amanda, we thought it might be too good to be true. (We receive a ton of fakes every week.) So, we requested comparison photos and the original file which we promptly received from her.

As you can tell from the comparison photos, the ceiling of the home is shiny, allowing the light to reflect more greatly. Honestly, we do not have a natural explanation for the figure floating in the dining room/kitchen area. It is truly paranormal, in our opinion - for how could the light reflection have created the human-shaped form? Given the description of the possible activity in the home, we would lean toward this phantom being the ghost of another.

We have analyzed it digitally and professionally from many different perspectives. In our opinion, after examining it fully, we believe this spirit photo to be authentic. (The photo, here, has been reduced in size and with our signature added. So, it's exif data will not be the same as from our analysis.)

In this ghost photo, it appears to us that the shadow is morphing into an apparition. So, the form is still faceless; but if you look to the right side of its form, you can see where it casts a shadow over the cabinet that is behind it.
